Passenger Processing Systems Commercialisation, Jorge Chavez International Airport, Lima, Peru
In response to financial constraints on the airport expansion project, McCor investigated ways to reduce the budget requirements for ICT Systems. We advised the client through a systems commercialisation project under which both CAPEX and OPEX will be provided by a Service Delivery Partner with the airport receiving a revenue stream through a systems concession agreement.
By removing financial constraints, McCor was able to define the introduction of the latest technologies in passenger processing. The result was the delivery of the Concept Of Operations (CONOPS) using biometrics and the specification of a complete Single Token solution for the airport. As part of the initiative, McCor undertook a market evaluation, developed the business case, specified the technical solution and managed the tender process. |
The outcome: |
The outcome is a significant positive impact on the construction project and the future airport. Project CAPEX for the latest technology is removed for the system group and future airport OPEX will be replaced by an income stream for the duration of the concession.
